Ever since my mother ran off with the milkman I have had a strong aversion to clichés. In the digital age we are deluged with images and new clichés evolve daily. On platforms like Instagram we try to show our best selves, we are trying to express our individuality, we are trying to be creative. But this is very difficult, we usually fail and the images are clichés just advertising our conformity and privilege and deep yearning for status.
