Labels are everywhere on the large bottle shaped vase Shopping for Meaning featuring photographs by Eleni Parousi of me as a manic grande dame visiting the famous fashion stores only a handbag’s throw from the gallery where my show is exhibited. Commercial art galleries are, of course, shops and much of their stock goes in and out of fashion in much the same way that a nice frock from Chanel might.
